Nowadays, the number of AI-generated articles on the Internet are become more and more.
About a year ago, I had just started writing articles using ChatGPT, and I felt that AI could write much better than me.
But as time goes by, I gradually find that I don’t want to use AI anymore.
Until recently, I decided not to use AI to write articles.
From the first time I thought the articles written by AI were very good, to the recent decision not to use AI to write articles, I have gone through three stages.
01 | When I First Started Using AI, I was Actually a Little Bit Embarrassed.
When I first started using AI to help me write articles, my feeling about AI was that it was amazing.
The paragraphs written by AI are so beautiful. The parallelism, golden sentences, and sentence after sentence made me wonder what the articles I had written for so many years were all about.
So, I started to write large paragraphs using AI. I used AI to help me write the beginning and end, and added the parallelism, golden sentences, etc. given to me by AI.
At first, I was actually a little bit embarrassed about letting AI write part of the content for me. After all, over the years, I have been typing out original content word by word. Even if I don’t write well, I can at least be worthy of the readers of my official account.
But as time went by, I became relieved. Firstly, I became numb. Secondly, I don’t do this, but some people do.
So, I used AI to write articles and entered the second stage.
02 | After Using AI, I Felt a Little Disgusted
I first used AI, but it wasn’t that wild. I just wanted AI to help me find a good title.
As I entered the second stage of using AI to write articles, I found that although the titles that AI helped me pick were very “beautiful” and “golden sentences”, the reading volume did not seem to increase at all.
Then one day, as I was writing, I suddenly discovered that what I asked the AI to write was fake no matter how I looked at it.
Piling all kinds of good writing skills such as golden sentences, parallelism, etc. directly into the article is simply too “violent”, so that later on, I increasingly didn’t want to read the articles I wrote through AI.
So, I started to dislike AI.
03 | Later, I Decided Not to Use AI Anymore
In view of the fact that articles written using AI are too fake, I have gradually stopped using AI in my recent articles. I will write them myself if I can.
Coincidentally, I have a friend who opened a public account half a year ago and started writing articles.
At first, he wrote it himself. Later, when he saw that AI could write well, he began to use AI to write the entire article.
It wasn’t until one day when he was prompted by the platform that his “creativity was low” that we discovered that Tencent could already use AI to judge AI.
This started to sound a wake-up call for me, but at that time I had not yet decided not to use AI at all.
Until recently, I started to study SEO.
Anyone who knows SEO should know that the core key to doing SEO is to insist on originality.
Then, a question suddenly popped up in my mind:
Can Google recognize AI articles?
This issue cannot be verified directly using Google and can only be verified through some indirect means.
I found some platforms that can recognize AI articles (these platforms can only recognize English articles). I used Google Translate to translate the original Chinese articles I had written before and let the platform identify whether my articles were written by humans or AI.
The result always says that my article is written by AI:

I am particularly puzzled. Although the article is obviously my original one, why do I say that my article was written by AI?
It wasn’t until I moved my eyes to the translation mode in the lower right corner of the left column of Google Translate that I discovered the mystery:

The default mode of Google Translate is the advanced mode, which is already using Gemini’s help.
No wonder my original article will be recognized as AI article after translation.
After that, I switched the translation mode to classic, and my article was immediately recognized as being written by a human:

These two experiences made me determined not to use AI to help me write articles anymore.
Final Thoughts
Charlie Munger once said:
Think the opposite, always think the opposite.
When the Internet world is crazily discussing AI, it proves that AI is everywhere. At this time, not using AI is actually a scarcity.
When the world is full of AI information that is fake at first glance and has no real feelings, information with real feelings but not so perfect will be even more precious.
Although major companies such as Google and Tencent are working hard to develop AI, they still do not encourage everyone to use AI for content creation. After all, our society is still made up of people, not AI.
AI, its most correct position is actually a tool. How can you expect a tool to have real feelings?
So, stop using AI to write articles. Even if your articles are poorly written, they are still more real than those written by AI, and real things will become increasingly scarce.
